It's not often I make Indian food. I think to make really tasty Indian, you have to be a stay-at-home wife who grinds spices from scratch everyday, or you have to use a jar of Patak's. I refuse to do either.
But then the other day, Ocado tempted me into looking at some new sauces by Masala Masala. I don't normally buy ready-made sauces, but these ones are actually made from only a few ingredients (none that are nasty chemicals that we wouldn't have in our kitchens). And the thing that really caught my eye was that for every pot of sauce you buy, they will give a homeless person in India a free meal. Isn't that nice?
...And most importantly... it's darn tasty! Certainly as good as if I'd taken the day off work to grind up spices in my mortar and pestle. And one heck of a lot quicker.
